BlockBeats News, June 3rd, According to official sources, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Crypto Special Group has held a meeting with representatives of CoinShares International Limited and its legal counsel Chapman & Cutler LLP to discuss the regulatory challenges of launching cryptocurrency exchange-traded products (ETPs) in the United States. The topics discussed during the meeting included how to integrate a collateral mechanism into the ETP structure, the appropriate standards for reviewing new digital asset ETP rule change applications, cryptocurrency custody issues, a comparison of in-kind and cash creation and redemption mechanisms, and the feasibility of registered investment companies investing in digital asset ETPs.
CoinShares also presented its cryptocurrency ETP business in Europe, where the company manages over $6 billion in assets, offering 20 publicly listed ETP products covering 13 digital assets and 3 digital asset indexes.
