BlockBeats News, May 30. According to official sources, the Uniswap Foundation has announced funding for the development team behind the cross-chain LP migration protocol ChainHopper. This protocol will support one-click migration of Uniswap Liquidity Providers (LPs) positions to different EVM chains and will facilitate liquidity migration to Unichain and the upcoming Uniswap v4.
Currently, users who wish to move their LP positions from one chain to another must go through multiple cumbersome steps: remove liquidity, bridge each token across chains separately, wait for confirmations, and then rebuild positions on the target chain.
To help users more efficiently manage their LP positions, the Uniswap Foundation has provided a $235,000 grant to Melio for the development of the ChainHopper protocol. Currently, the protocol is live on the Ethereum mainnet, Unichain, Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism.
