Kazakhstan to Launch Cryptocurrency Payment and Application Pilot Zone

BlockBeats News, May 29th, according to Cointelegraph, President Tokayev of Kazakhstan stated that Kazakhstan plans to launch a cryptocurrency pilot zone called "CryptoCity," allowing the use of cryptocurrency to purchase goods and services. The related statement was released on the President's official website on May 29th.

Tokayev stated at the 2025 Astana International Forum that the pilot zone will explore the adoption of cryptocurrency in a regulated sandbox environment.

He said: "We plan to create a pioneering pilot zone called CryptoCity, where you can use cryptocurrency to purchase goods, services, and even achieve broader applications."
