Almost all staff working from home are dealing with personal matters during work time and few are recording their hours despite requirements to do so, new data reveals, potentially bolstering a major employer case to exempt millions of employees from overtime rules in return for higher pay.
A Fair Work Commission report, released on Monday, found half of 531 employees surveyed never or rarely had to log their work hours when working remotely and three out of four attended to non-work matters.
