Matrixport: Vitalik Advances Ethereum Clarity Reform, Protocol Streamlining as ETH Price Surge Catalyst

BlockBeats News, May 12th, Matrixport posted on X platform, stating that as the Pectra upgrade continues to progress, Vitalik is leading Ethereum towards a Bitcoin-like concise architecture. His proposed protocol simplification concept, combined with multiple far-reaching improvement proposals, has become a key factor in ETH's over 60% surge. However, behind ETH's strong performance, there are still more variables worth paying attention to.

On May 3, 2025, Vitalik put forward an Ethereum Layer1 simplification vision with "clarity" and "security" at its core. EIP-4850 introduces an income sharing mechanism with Layer2 solutions, allowing Ethereum to continuously capture value from L2 activities; EIP-7691 then lowers L2 fees, increases operational efficiency, and drives more on-chain transactions back to the mainnet by expanding the data block (blob) capacity.

The recent surge in Ethereum settlement volume is a rare phenomenon - such a large-scale settlement generally occurs during market downturns rather than price rallies.
