The Australian's aviation writer Robyn Ironside has examined Qantas’ recent leap in global brand rankings.
Qantas has jumped to 16th place in the annual Brand Finance airlines report, after it increased its brand value to $4.1 billion over the past year.
The airline has also returned to the top 10 strongest full-service carrier brands globally.
"It's quite a surprise. A $1.3 billion turnaround, which is pretty remarkable,” Ms Ironside told Sky News Australia.
