BlockBeats News, April 16th - According to Decrypt, Metaverse technology company Futureverse announced on April 16, 2025, that it has acquired the digital collectibles platform Candy Digital. The transaction amount was not disclosed. This acquisition has enabled Futureverse to obtain Candy Digital's 4 million digital collectibles, 1.5 million user accounts, and partnerships with blue-chip brands such as Netflix, DC Comics, and MLB. Futureverse, founded in late 2022, previously completed a $54 million Series A funding round in 2023, with a valuation of around $1 billion.
