TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk will provide a Hari Raya bonus ahead of Eid al-Fitr to driver partners in accordance with the directive of President Prabowo Subianto.
Gojek President Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo stated that the Hari Raya bonus will be given through a program called Tali Asih Hari Raya.
She mentioned that the Eid bonus will be distributed in the form of cash to driver partners who meet certain criteria
"This cash bonus will be received by driver partners before Eid al-Fitr," stated Catherine in her press release on March 10, 2025.
According to Catherine, this program is a goodwill gesture from Gojek to continue supporting driver partners in accordance with the company's capacity.
The Tali Asih Hari Raya program aligns with President Prabowo's announcement regarding Eid bonuses for online driver partners. "Gojek continues to coordinate with the government to ensure transparency in fund allocation for partners," the company stated.
Alongside Gojek, Grab Indonesia will also provide an Eid bonus for online motorcycle taxi drivers through a special performance-based program.
Grab Group CEO & Co-Founder Anthony Tan emphasized that this initiative is a token of appreciation for drivers' dedication and contributions during Eid.
"We are proud to support initiatives that directly benefit driver partners—the backbone of Indonesia's transportation and delivery services—who have consistently provided excellent service to customers," Anthony said in an official statement received by Tempo on Monday, March 10, 2025.
He added that Grab's bonus program is designed to provide the best possible support while considering the company’s financial conditions. Eligibility for the bonus is determined based on driver activity, including completed orders, completion rates, online hours, and driver ratings.
Earlier, President Prabowo Subianto urged app-based ride-hailing companies to provide Eid allowances for drivers and couriers.
"The government calls on all app-based transportation companies to offer cash Eid allowances to online drivers and couriers in recognition of their work activity," Prabowo stated at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, on March 10, 2025.
He noted that Indonesia currently has around 250,000 active online drivers and couriers, with an additional 1 to 1.5 million part-time workers.
"The amount and distribution mechanism for this Eid allowance will be outlined in a circular letter from the Minister of Manpower," Prabowo added.
Prabowo also requested that the distribution of the Eid al-Fitr allowance and Eid bonuses be no later than 7 days before Eid al-Fitr.
