TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -The state-owned ferry operator PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni) has prepared 781,723 ferry tickets for the 2025 Eid-al-Fitr homecoming or 1446 Hijriah. These tickets are available for departures from Sunday, March 16 to Wednesday, April 16, 2025. "Tickets can be booked starting from 30 days before to facilitate the public in planning their trips," said Pelni's Director of Passenger Transport Business, Nuraini Dessy, in a written statement on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

For the 2025 Eid-al-Fitr period, Pelni has provided a total capacity of 60,212 seats on 25 passenger ships serving crossings in 74 ports and 30 pioneer ships reaching 230 ports throughout Indonesia. So, how to book Pelni ferry tickets for the Eid-al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah homecoming?

Pelni ticket reservations can be made online through the official Pelni website and application. Here are the steps:

1. Through the Pelni Website

• Access pelni.co.id.
• Click the stacked horizontal three-line icon or burger line. Alternatively, passengers can also directly visit pelni.co.id/reservasi-tiket.
• Select the origin and destination city/port.
• Enter the number of adult passengers and infants (aged 0-23 months).
• Select the departure date.
• Choose the ship class.
• Click the Find Passage button.
• Next, the system will display the motor ship (KM) name, departure schedule, and ticket price.
• Tap the Choose button to proceed to the payment session.
• Enter booking information, such as name, email address, mobile number, and address.
• Also enter passenger information, such as name; identity number, whether electronic identity card (e-KTP), driver's license (SIM), passport, or child identity card (KIA), date of birth, and gender.
• Read and check the applicable terms and conditions.
• Also check the captcha section, then click Continue.
• Complete the transaction by selecting the desired payment method.

2. Through the Pelni Application

• Download the Pelni application on Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (Apple iOS iPhone).
• On the main page, select the Login menu at the bottom right corner.
• Choose the Sign Up option to create an account.
• Enter full name, email address, and phone number.
• Create a password, then tap the Next button.
• After that, verify and log into the account.
• On the homepage, select Ticketing.
• Select the origin and destination city/port.
• Select the crossing date.
• Enter the number of passengers.
• Press the Search Schedule button to find the schedule.
• Select the ferry, then enter booking and passenger information.
• Make the payment according to the desired method.
