TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Potential passengers for Eid Al-Fitr 2025 homecoming can now book train tickets up to 45 days before departure, with services opening gradually per a set schedule. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has officially launched bookings for the Eid travel period on February 4, 2025.
"Tickets for departures H-10 to H+1 of Eid or on March 21 to April 2, 2025 can be booked through Access by KAI application and other official channels," said the Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, in his statement on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Ixfan explained that a total of 294,634 Long Distance Train (KAJJ) tickets have been booked for various departure destinations during the Eid Al-Fitr transport period from March 21 to April 1, 2025.
The sales are equivalent to 1.3 percent of the available seating capacity, which is 480,602 seats.
According to Ixfan, the departure date with the highest number of bookings is March 29, 2025, or D-2 of Eid Al-Fitr, with a total of 36,251 potential passengers. Ixfan urged the potential passengers to book as fast as possible to get the best ticket prices.

Ixfan reminded potential customers to purchase tickets only through KAI's official channels to avoid fraudulent schemes by irresponsible parties.
"Ticket sales at station counters only serve direct purchases (go-show) starting from 3 hours before the departure schedule," he said.
