Rebel builders’ plea to clean up billion-dollar fund

Rebel building industry directors are calling for the regulation of union funds to be a federal election issue after raising concerns the CFMEU is using a billion-dollar redundancy fund to strongarm employer groups and misusing workers’ money.

Master Builders Victoria (MBAV) board directors Raymond French, Lisa Hollingsworth and Greg Cole have written to opposition employment spokeswoman Michaelia Cash calling for her to lead “systematic change” in the unregulated space to tackle the CFMEU’s $1.2 billion Incolink fund.
