Cracker Barrel 1Q Revenue Rises; Backs FY25 View

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store's first-quarter revenue rose 2.6% on higher menu prices.

The fast-casual restaurant said net income for the quarter ended Nov. 1 fell to $4.84 million, or 22 cents a share, from $5.46 million, or 25 cents a share, a year earlier. On an adjusted basis, earnings rose to 45 cents a share, compared with 40 cents a share a year earlier.

First-quarter revenue rose 2.6% to $845.1 million, while comparable-restaurant sales rose 2.9% due to menu pricing increases. However, comparable-store retail sales dropped 1.6% in the quarter.

Analysts polled by Factset had expected earnings of 37 cents a share on revenue of $833 million.

The company again reaffirmed its fiscal 2025 outlook for total revenue of $3.4 billion to $3.5 billion. Analysts are expecting full-year sales of $3.4 billion.
