Prabowo-Gibran Inauguration in Two Days, Here's the Schedule

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian president and vice president-elect, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, will be inaugurated on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Nusantara Building, Senayan Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta.

Deputy Chairperson of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Eddy Soeparno said the inauguration process would be the same as the previous presidential inauguration mechanism.
"The series of events is the same. There's only one agenda after the MPR plenary session is opened, which is the reading of the oath of office for the president and vice president," Eddy told Tempo on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Here is the complete schedule of the inauguration of Prabowo-Gibran on Sunday:
- 10:00-10:03 AM: Singing the Indonesian National Anthem 'Indonesia Raya'
- 10:03-10:06 AM: Moment of silence
- 10:06-10:26 AM: Opening of the plenary session for the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period by the Chairperson of the MPR
- 10:26-10:28 AM: Swearing-in of the President of the Republic of Indonesia
- 10:28-10:30 AM: Swearing-in of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia
- 10:30-10:35 AM: Signing of the inauguration minutes
- 10:35-10:40 AM: Handover of the inauguration minutes.
Exchange of seats between the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period with the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2019-2024 period.
- 10:42-10:47 AM: MPR leadership continues to lead the MPR plenary session 10.47-11.05 AM: Speech by the President of the Republic of Indonesia
