APT Electronics (02551) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2025, reporting revenue of RMB 1.113 billion, representing a 3.9% year-on-year increase. The company recorded gross profit of RMB 168 million, profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 11.232 million, and basic earnings per share of RMB 0.02.
According to the announcement, automotive intelligent vision products generated revenue of RMB 418.5 million during the reporting period, down 9.3% year-on-year. The decline was primarily attributed to a downturn in smart automotive lighting products, as intensified competition in the automotive industry during the first half of the year led to periodic decreases in unit selling prices of complete lighting systems and a decline in business revenue. However, the group's automotive-grade components and modules experienced significant sales growth due to their competitive product performance and increased volume production projects. With ongoing mass production of designated research and development projects, the automotive-grade components and modules business has entered a phase of sustained rapid growth. The market share of automotive-grade components and modules is expected to further increase as new customers and projects are developed and designated.
New display products recorded revenue of RMB 354.4 million during the reporting period, up 30.3% year-on-year. This growth was primarily driven by favorable conditions from large-size television backlight modules and MiniLED display technology applications, along with the continuation of national home appliance subsidy policies. The group's new display product orders continued to increase, resulting in substantial year-on-year sales growth.
High-end lighting products generated revenue of RMB 339.6 million during the reporting period, up 0.6% year-on-year. While market competition intensified in the high-end lighting segment, LED applications in new markets showed increased demand. The company's focus on high-efficiency plant lighting products demonstrated growth momentum, with their proportion in high-end lighting products further increasing. However, the decline in prices of white light general lighting SMD packaging products led to some revenue decline, resulting in overall revenue remaining flat compared to the same period last year.
