CGN POWER (01816) announced that on August 27, 2025, the board of directors reviewed and approved a resolution regarding the equity transfer agreement between the company (as buyer) and CGN (as seller). Under the equity transfer agreement, the company agreed to acquire and CGN agreed to sell 82% equity in Huizhou Nuclear Power, 100% equity in Huizhou Second Nuclear Power, 100% equity in Huizhou Third Nuclear Power, and 100% equity in Zhanjiang Nuclear Power, for a total cash consideration of approximately 9.38 billion yuan.
Upon completion of the acquisition, the target companies will become subsidiaries of the company, and their financial performance will be consolidated into the group's financial statements.
The announcement stated that through this acquisition, the company's controlling operational, under-construction, and reserve installed capacity will increase respectively. For the company, expanding operational and construction installed capacity is not only an effective way to achieve growth in nuclear power generation and performance, but also an important pathway to enhance the company's market position and long-term competitiveness in the nuclear power industry.
