Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI is working on a family of artificial intelligence devices, including a smart speaker and smart glasses, The Information reported Friday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
The smart speaker with a built-in camera is expected to launch first and will be priced between $200 and $300, according the report. The device is also expected to help users make purchases using a facial recognition feature, sources told the media outlet.
Other devices, such as smart glasses, could be ready for mass production by 2028, a person told The Information.
OpenAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
