SM Entertainment Japan Profit Halves In 2025 As Costs Rise

SM Entertainment Japan (TYO:4772) profit attributable to owners of the parent fell 52% to 375 million yen in 2025, according to a Monday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Basic earnings per share declined to 3.24 yen from 6.80 yen a year earlier. Net sales rose 5% on year to 10.2 billion yen.

For 2026, the company forecast profit attributable to owners to the parent of 253 million yen, EPS of 2.19 yen and net sales of 9.09 billion yen.

SM Entertainment Japan plans to pay a full-year dividend of 2 yen per share for 2025 and expects a dividend of 1 yen per share for 2026.
