IMF Cuts Japan's Economic Growth Outlook Amid Trade Tensions

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) cut its growth forecast for Japan for 2025 and 2026 amid US tariff-led trade tensions.

In its latest outlook report, IMF slashed Japan's GDP outlook to 0.6% in 2025 from 1.1% previously forecasted in its January report.

It also cut its projection for 2026 to 0.6% from 0.8%.
